Esperanza is invited to keynote at international conferences, including the UN, on the importance of young people’s engagement in global affairs, environmental sustainability and renewable energy. Her work has been featured on the Financial Times, MSNBC, Elle, Huffington Post, and "Heroes of Today." Her awards include Unipro's "30 top Filipinos under 30," "The Outstanding Filipinos of NY," "Women in Green Trailblazer Award," and "Care2 Impact Award."
Esperanza Garcia has experience in renewable energy development, solar, climate change, sustainable development, entrepreneurship, local government, and international relations with exposure to UN development. Her experience includes co-founding and managing global and local youth organizations in 20 chapter countries globally; advocating and lobbying for the implementation of renewable energy policies in government; negotiating at climate change and sustainable development multilateral conferences and collaborating with government leaders and international private corporations. She served as a delegate of the Philippines at the UN Climate Change Conference. She has worked as a consultant for South-South News, which works with UN agencies in helping South-South countries develop programs. She has worked as climate change consultant for the Philippine Senate and a consultant for Friendship Ambassadors Foundation, organizing the Youth Assembly at the UN.
She recently graduated from Columbia University's innovative program on Sustainability Management where she focused on renewable energy in emerging markets. She did her post-baccalaureate at Yale and Columbia studying renewable energy and economics.
She is currently the CEO of Anza, an eco-friendly and sustainable homeware brand that supports and partners with communities to bring you curated earth-friendly furniture and home decor products for your home.
