Esmaeel Abofakher on Clubhouse

Bio

Esmaeel Abofakher is a passionate and talented artist and community animator. Originally from Syria, Esmaeel began his theatre career as a young person and later performed with the University Theatre in Damascus. When the war broke out in Syria, he was on the crisis response team with Syrian Red Crescent. Arriving in Canada in 2016, he had a dream to give back by providing opportunities for his fellow Syrians, co-founding and coordinating the Newcomer Kitchen Project with his wife, working as a staff musician and educator with Canada's Nai Children's Choir, and co-founding and administrating Syeatre, a Syrian Newcomers theatre group, and Syrian Hope band. Esameel performs all of his duties with his beloved partner and wife Rahaf Alakbani.
