I am an African visioneer with a mission to define the next platform for Healthcare in the African world because the COVID-19 pandemic is our best opportunity for disrupting the status quo of inequity for people of African descent.

My "Africa" is the Atlantic Rim a global community of people with common ancestry, history and experiences rooted in Africa. We are not a continent, we are a global presence. That is why the pandemic is an opportunity for Africanism 2.0 🌍🌎🌏

My name is Eluemuno Chukuemeka Blyden because I was the first one in my family born back in Igboland -my exact African origin- after 300 years in the New World. My name means "I have returned home, thanks be to God" 🛖.
My ancestors engaged in nation-building, people building, creativity, religion and invention in the America's throughout that time. I am here to add my share. I have the best solutions for transforming the global pandemic crisis into a windfall for Africans because I have been working on pandemic solutions for 25 years to address food security and medicines for counteracting disease.

I have a B.Sc. degree from University of East Anglia, and a Ph.D. from Cambridge University, U.K. both relating to BIOTECHNOLOGY.

Cofounded two start-up companies in Russia and an Institute for Advancing Technologies in Developing Countries at Dartmouth College in USA;
I have taught, consulted and advised on health, food security and environment at Njala University in Sierra Leone; and cofounded several US startup companies. Avril Biopharma is based on my inventions in genomics and synthetic biology applied to vaccines and therapeutics development.
With these and other African technologies:
WE CAN MAKE, TEST AND MANUFACTURE A COVID19 VACCINE IN 9 MONTHS.

To achieve this we can build an Internet of Healthcare Manufacturing (IoHM) that will provide life saving medicines - for infectious diseases, chronic diseases, cancer and rare inherited diseases throughout the Atlantic Rim.

AFRIVAX-COVID-19 is the name of this initiative for a self-sustaining, resilient medicines manufacturing network based on AGRICULTURE 🌾🦙🐏🐣 🐝🌿 and BIODIVERSITY.
