I am a Digital Media Producer and the Managing Editor for World Moms Network. I founded Documama.org as a way to use my documentary background in a new medium and to share global stories as a way to inspire action, insight, and cross-cultural understanding.
After having worked on Feature Films and Television series for FOX, NBC, MGM, Columbia Pictures, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, and Castle Rock Pictures, I studied documentary filmmaking and anthropology and earned a Masters degree in Media Studies from The New School in New York.
Since becoming a Digital Media Producer I have worked on social media campaigns for non-profits such as Save The Children, WaterAid, ONE.org, UNICEF, United Nations Foundation, World Pulse, and The Gates Foundation. As a United Nations Foundation Shot@Life Champion Leader I advocate for global vaccines. I served as the Digital and Social Media Specialist at Edesia, a non-profit that produces Plumpy’Nut and other Ready To Use Therapeutic Foods to prevent and treat child malnutrition for two years. I was a member of the Social Media Corps for the 2016 RESULTS conference to end poverty, and in 2015 and selected as a United Nations Foundation Social Good Fellow. In 2014 I travelled to Ethiopia with the International Reporting Project as a New Media Fellow to report on newborn health. Reporting trips have also taken me to South Africa with Mom Bloggers For Social Good and more recently to Haiti to meet artisans creating for the Macy's Heart of Haiti line. I’m a member of the Global Team of 200 , the Mission List, and a ONE.org Community Partner. My writing has been featured on ONE.org, Johnson & Johnson’s BabyCenter.com, EnoughProject.org, GaviAlliance.org, and Worldmomsnetwork.com.
I’ve traveled through more than 75 countries around the 🌍 and live in New England with my husband and four kids.
