Elena Shahnaian is a passionate believer that everyone deserves the chance to pursue their dream, and as co-founder and CEO of the nonprofit, Qualified, she fights every day to restore stolen dreams to survivors of sex trafficking.
As a refugee from the former Soviet Union, Elena watched her family host over 200 other immigrant families who followed. She witnessed first-hand how outsiders can feel locked out of their dreams by an unfamiliar language, a strange culture, and simple ignorance of how systems work. However, she also saw these same barriers fade away when basic transitional help was provided by those already on the inside.
