Jay Strumwasser on Clubhouse

Bio

Jay is a Director of Technology in Westchester. He is also the former Director of Technology for a Charter School in Queens. Jay is a NYS Certified School District Leader, NYS Certified Teacher, NYS Educational Technologist, Google Certified Trainer, Teacher, and Administrator. He is also a Microsoft Innovative Educator, GoGuardian Certified Teacher/Administrator as well as Screencastify Master Screencaster.

Jay has presented at various conferences, both local and regional.

Jay was responsible for working with teachers and the administrative team to better integrate technology into their lessons and the overall culture of the school. Jay introduced Blended learning in a 1:1 Chromebook program with grades 5-7. Scholars and teachers use Chromebooks on a daily basis to learn at their own pace using materials curated by their teachers. Jay was also responsible for the overall technology infrastructure at the network level.

Jay is a former Educational Technology Coach in the Greater New York Area servicing Public, Charter, and Parochial Schools throughout the state.

Jay is also a former classroom social studies and computer teacher for the NYCDOE.
