I used to create tech debt, now I create org debt and lose sleep over how to develop talent.

I’ve dined out for a long time on the fact I was on the original team that built The Sims 1.0. More recently I was Zalando’s first pre-IPO VP Engineering and helped pivot it into a tech company through the Radical Agility transformation, which mixed culture, leadership, and architecture in a way that almost worked.

Now I’m helping build the future of location technology to help create a cleaner, safer, congestion-free world.

I wish I’d “got” product earlier in my career, since product is to human enterprise as science is to the universe.

My secret mission is to help more people choose to learn to see the excruciating beauty innate in literally everything around us.
