Entrepreneur, Activist, Advocate and Curator. Heavily involved in healing the community and bridging the gap between community and social justice reform. She co-founder of Barred Business a non profit organization dedicated to reclassifying formerly incarcerated and marginalized people. As well as Barred Business Inc. She works diligently to lift up the community and tries to change the narrative of criminal and social justice reform. She attends and speaks at rallies and various events and is a voice for the voiceless. She has partnered with her best friend to build, create, and be the change the world needs to see. They created the Formerly Incarcerated Small Business Rescue Fund and raised over $100,000 and has given out over 50 grants.
Denise Ruben is a formerly incarcerated Survivor, Community and a Activist who partners with other Survivors, Activist, Social Justice Reform Organizers, other Organizers, Formerly Incarcerated and Incarcerated people to educate, heal, empower ourselves, others and the community.
I am a formerly incarcerated woman who actively seeks balance and stability for all humans affected by the judicial system. We build and bridge gaps.
