I’m a leader in workforce development and work as an intermediary, connecting businesses to community college students. My pathway to leadership in Higher Ed began by my leadership in Latina/o in politics, I ran for office and was elected to the Rio Hondo Community College Board. Later, I served as an appointed Commissioner for the Los Angeles Workforce Development Board & learned about where the money gets directed for skills training, which partners are needed to create a partnership & how to create a pipeline of skilled workers for employers. I work to grow leaders!
I’m launching my own consulting biz called MY Workforce Solutions very soon on LinkedIn. My “why” is because I’m a mom & professional that was forced to leave my 9 to 5 to homeschool my 6th grade daughter because of the pandemic. I’m turning my situation into an opportunity! How can we collaborate?
