Dr Jenny Taylor opened Creature Comfort Holistic Veterinary Center in Oakland California May 15th 2001. Committed to providing a deeper, more natural healing center for pets the veterinarians at Creature Comfort are trained in the best of both traditional veterinary medicine and holistic modalities seamlessly integrated to offer pets a lifetime of deep health and wellness.

Upon graduating from UC Davis veterinary school in 1995 , Dr. Jenny was confident she had learned everything she needed to heal sick animals. After working several years in traditional veterinary practices she began to suspect that she was only treating symptoms—while never getting to the root of the health problems. She sought out additional training in chiropractic care, homeopathy and acupuncture for animals and began incorporating holistic treatments into her healing practice.

These modalities focused on maintaining health and wellness in the body instead of treating symptoms that occur from feeding our pets a poor diet and exposing them to unnecessary life stressors and chemicals leading to imbalance and illness. Her goal is to prevent illness by promoting health and wellness in pets instead of focusing on just making symptoms go away temporarily and later return as our pets age, causing more serious diseases like cancer, chronic illnesses and early death.

Although this type of healing requires years of special training on the part of the veterinarian and a commitment to true wellness on pet caretakers and parents, it is incredibly rewarding to see her patients experience true healing, allowing them to live long, happy lives and avoid costly and dangerous surgeries and drugs.
