I am a Yoga instructor and practitioner as well as a meditation practitioner who just also happens to be a Stage 4 Cancer patient.
Cancer has allowed me to learn so much more about myself and life. Most importantly, it has allowed me to learn from others with an open mind and open heart.
Cancer has allowed me to be an adventurer. I honestly, can’t get enough of being outdoors or traveling to see something or some place new.
Cancer also has put me in a position where I don’t sit back and accept. I advocate through actively listening to experts and knowledgeable humans. I am grateful to those that allow me to keep learning.
In my life prior to diagnosis, I was an Elementary General Music Educator. I was so focused on my job that I didn’t fully enjoy life. I kept looking for the next “rung” to reach for in my career. I knew I was really good at what I did and wanted to help more and more humans.
I think cancer may have saved me from myself....
