Rekha is a DJ, producer, educator, curator, and activist pioneered Bhangra music in North America via their monthly club night, Basement Bhangra(1997-2017). Rekha was the sound designer for the TONY award-winning Broadway Show, "Bridge and Tunnel", They taught at NYU Tisch and Dept of Social and Cultural Analysis. They have a Masters in the Comparative Media Studies Dept from MIT.
