Intel Accessible Computing Innovation PM - Disability Inclusion - Legally blind...but only half deaf :-) #RP #a11y
Profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dadamspdx/
Framing my disabilities as assets, I bring my unique perspective with me to work each day. I work at the intersection of technology and human experience helping discover new ways for people with disabilities to work, interact, and thrive in the workplace.
I was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa (RP) at the age of 14 and have been experiencing this journey into sight loss ever since. I'm also deaf in my right ear due to a surgical error where both my facial and auditory nerves were cut.
It's this combination of degenerative sensory impairments that create increasingly greater challenges and an endless supply of opportunities to overcome obstacles through creative problem solving.
As an accessible computing innovation program manager in the Accessibility Office at Intel, my mission is to connect my passion for technology innovation with Intel’s disability inclusion efforts to help others reach their full potential, regardless of ability.
