As a first-generation PhD, I am committed to both producing AND democratizing knowledge in order to improve the lives of those most impacted by structural inequality. My mission is to bridge the gap between academia and minoritized communities by using academic research to empower people and to address persistent racial inequality.

My co-edited volume, The Dark Side of Reform: Exploring the Promises and Pitfalls of Contemporary Public Policy for Racial Equity, is currently under contract with Lexington Books, an imprint of Rowman and Littlefield.

I am the co-founder and editor of The Ebony Tower, an online platform created to help academics of color to THRIVE, not merely survive, in the ivory tower. I host webinars and offer developmental editing services for graduate school and fellowship applications.

I am also the co-host of the Black and Highly Dangerous (BhD) podcast, a show that tackles everyday questions, conversations, and debates by drawing on academic research and engaging in meaningful conversations with experts (broadly defined).
