Damian (he/they) is the owner of a full service creative casting studio advocating for authenticity, inclusivity, diversity, and empathy and celebrating individuality and unique voices through visual storytelling. He fully started his film casting career working on the casting team for Oscar winning director Andrea Arnold’s “American Honey” (Cannes Jury Prize winner). Damian recently finished the casting of 2 feature films: “Goldie” (Tribeca and Berlin Film Festival premieres) by Sam de Jong, which starred Slick Woods, Marsha Stephanie Blake, and A$AP Ferg and was produced by Vice Films & 20th Century Fox with Rosie Perez as executive producer, and Danielle Lessovitz’s “Port Authority” (Cannes Film Festival premiere), which was executive produced by Martin Scorsese and starred Dunkirk breakout Fionn Whitehead and newcomer Leyna Bloom. “Port Authority” made history as the first feature film in Cannes’s 72-year history to feature a trans woman of color (Bloom is half Black and half Filipino.) in a leading role. Damian also served as an associate producer. For both films, he spearheaded a hybrid casting strategy that combined professional actors with real people, dancers, and artists.
