Own & run the UKs largest online garden plant retailer, recently dubbed “The Jeff Bezos of online garden centres” by Gardens Illustrated.
I started www.GardeningExpress.co.uk with 3k saved from part time jobs in parents garage and my bedroom as a student, when I left uni I was turning over 350k and hooked. I’ve grown organically without external investment, and now have 2 locations over 14 acres, achieving 8 figure annual sales, growing rapidly and aiming for 9.... still plenty of work to do with web site improvements, social channels, product expansion etc.... get to know me, like me, trust me - then let’s do business.
Plenty of ups and downs on the journey. I’m here to help others through my experiences and knowledge I have if possible, plus learn from others too.
Known as a disrupter and thorn in the side to traditional players in the industry, I’m never afraid to speak out and push the agenda forward to help make horticulture a better business for all stakeholders. Think lobbying for global quality standards, ethical trading and environmentally conscious growing practices, where I’m actively engaged in effecting and pressuring change, and investing within our own business.
