Bio

Born in Lagos Nigeria and raised in the UK and this has brought me to where I am today.
I’m African and Love my culture, our heritage, our beauty in all its shades and I create art and lifestyle products that celebrate my love for my multiculturalism. I sing to my own tune, make my own rules in the art game and through this, want to show you Africa from my point of view.

I have over 20 years experience in the fashion industry, working in all sectors, design, production, styling, startup mentor. Left the industry because of the frustration I was feeling with the industry and how black models and designers were being unappreciated and treated.

Decided to change things up during the pandemic and 12 months later, my brand CHINAKWE is born.

So I’m here to change how black beauty and culture is viewed.
