I have no clout. I’m just here. But since it seems to matter a lot here ...
I am a sociologist who critically examines how visual representation across media impacts the mental health of millennial Black women. Symbolic annihilation and intersectionality are my theoretical frameworks. I have also researched how age discrimination impacts trans persons’ experience with healthcare discrimination.
I am a professor of sociology and criminal justice, again, critically examining and teaching how race, gender and class impact a multitude of life and health outcomes.
I am trained in International Health Care Organization & Policy, with a focus on maternal and child health.
I am an art collector and an art lover. I digitally curate the page @diasporacollective.
And if having a PhD, MA, and MPH weren’t enough, I am currently an art historian/curator in training enrolled in an art history MA program.
