Some of the things I am interested in:

* Whisky - I’m currently Editor for The Whisky Exchange and a freelance drinks writer. I completed the General Certificate in Distilling in 2020.

* Wine - also something I write about and a lifelong passion. (Well, since I was 18 of course..) Currently doing WSET Level 3 wines.

* All other booze! I love learning about flavour and how drinks are made. I’ve even started making my own. (Disclaimer: very much not coming to a shelf near you any time soon)

* Health Tech & Public Healthcare Systems - I have an MSc in Health Economics, Policy and Management and currently run a small niche startup with my business partner. Am particularly interested in how technology can improve healthcare and access to medical data, and how it can do so in an equitable way that accounts for the varied levels of access to technology across the UK.

* Shooting sports - although currently so out of practice I probably couldn’t hit a barn door!

* Sailing - am very much incompetent crew but I love it! Currently doing coastal yachtmaster theory. I’ve long had a love for navigation because I also love..

* Flying helicopters - I got my PPL(H) in my early twenties then turned my back on it for a while to explore other things. I very much regret that now and am looking forward to getting back in the air!

* Cigars

* Writing fiction - one day I will actually finish my novel.

* Lying to myself (see one above).

* Writing stupidly long bios, apparently.
