✈️ I bootstrapped my first company with $80 bucks on my daughter’s naptimes (travel company called italianfix.com). I focused on referrals & repeat customers to build a debt-free self-managed company. I waited tables as my side-hustle before my company could pay me.

🔮 Understand your “founder age”. If you’ve been in business for less than 3-4 years, don’t build alone. Get clear on your constraints and goals to build aligned companies. Get mentors who have actually built companies from the ground up, achieved profitability and then hired a team to work themselves off the org chart.

🧻 yes, that’s a toilet paper emoji. That’s my “hey I hear ya” symbol if you were part of the industries that got screwed in 2020 (hello hospitality, travel, fitness, retail etc). My decade-old travel company went from record sales to wtf in 20 days. Come and join as a moderator on future rooms if you have a badass “pivot story” you want to share.

🌟 In 2021 I’ll continue to work with select humans that want to gain AUTONOMY (creative, financial, time freedom) through building their own businesses (original product, services not scammy stuff). Takeaway: build for your own definition of success, but don’t summit the peak without a guide.
