Bezhan Zafarmal (DJ Besho) was born in the Province of Kunduz Afghanistan, he lived in Germany for 18 years, he has also lived in India and China and speaks 6 languages. Ever since he was a small boy he had an interest in music and performing, he also wanted to do something for his country which was going through a lot of war and destruction. His lyrics are well thought out and have a rhythmical harmony and his beats are custom made in his studio. In the 70's the Soviets invaded Afghanistan after two decades of fierce resistance, the soviets were forced to retreat. Sadly the country was in such a debilitated state that Civil war broke out, and most recently a brutal new regime forced its extreme ways over the country. International forces expelled that regime and now a new hope has transpired. Today the country is experiencing a re-emergence of culture and the arts. Music has come back and today in Afghanistan the beats and rhythms flow through the streets. There are over 20 radio stations and 15 television stations. DJ Besho performs crowd pleasing shows with style and finesse, he sings and raps in Dari and Pashtu as well as English and German. He has a high energy and positive presence when on stage, he truly enjoys performing and making the audience enjoy the show.
