Prior to starting the Coming Into Our Own Project, Betty Murray has had a distinctive and varied professional career. She started her career in sales and marketing but was swept into the technology boom of the 90s. She was the first female hired in the IT department of the Container Store and quickly rose to Director of Store Systems where she was instrumental in hiring other women. During those years, Betty was diagnosed with colitis. She set out to find the answers to her own health problems. Betty’s tenacity led to immersion into the world of nutrition and Functional Medicine that has become the backbone of her company’s approach to restoring health. Betty Murray learned that many health concerns women face have also had answers in uncovering the suppressed hopes and dreams.
