Hi! I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After a wonderful career in music marketing at Sony Music and Universal Records/Motown, I chose to focus all my energy on my passion for capturing images of people. I consider myself a visual storyteller and my medium is the lens. The heart and soul of my work is portrait photography, but I have also expanded my practice to include directing the moving image. My work investigates the relationship between people in urban spaces and their humanity as perceived by their cultural peers and the outside world. I feel passionately about using my work to promote social good, and to push forward conversations around place, immigration, home, creativity, race, celebrity, and marginalized groups. I most frequently work in NY and LA. Whomever the client is, whether individual, publication, corporation or nonprofit, I always strive to create a deep intimacy with the subject. I want the image to reflect the vulnerability of the connection between subject and viewer. Living my entire life in New York City has been the single most important influence on the work I make. I feel incredibly privileged to do what I do.
