Bio excerpt: A Chicago native Jerry Avenaim got his start in photography as assistant to legendary photographer Patrick Demarchelier. Upon venturing out on his own, his first assignment was a Vogue cover of Supermodel Cindy Crawford. Basing himself out of Milan he began to work for Italian Vogue under the direction of Editor in Chief Franca Sozzani.
Throughout his career Jerry Avenaim’s photographs have been seen in Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Entertainment Weekly, Esquire and Newsweek just to name a few. In the last decade he was the exclusive cover and features photographer for Fade In Magazine led by Editor in Chief Audrey Kelly.
His list of advertising clients have included Nike, Revlon, Guess, Sexy Hair, Calvin Klein, Diesel Jeans, Ford, McDonald’s, 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. His television appearances have included America’s Next Top Model (America, Canada and Germany), Dr. Phil and Suze Orman
