Hi, let me introduce myself, I’m Ashley, I one of those people who loves farming without getting my hands dirty!

Basically, born and bred in the countryside, growing up in a livestock 🐄 🐑 🐖 farm in Cheshire. Went to Newcastle 🍺 🍻 to study Agriculture thinking I would be going back to the family farm. However, I had a slight diversion into the “rock’n roll” world of being a Chartered Accountant🎉 📈 !

While on face value, the link to Agriculture could be viewed as tenuous. It’s never been stronger. I have the privilege of working with some great farming businesses and the amazing people who own them for the last 30 years. Helping them to shape, review, discuss and decide on investment decisions in there businesses, looking to the future and how to make things better. Some of the best parts of the conversation is taking about the livestock🐂 or crop 🌾 performance, marketing strategies and even the weather🌦.

After 25 years in corporate world, I set up my own business AMEC Consultancy, which now gives me the opportunity to focus on my passion for working with rural businesses.

I’m always open to a farming conversation, and if it’s on your mind, I’ll even talk about tax.
