Researching the use of 5-methoxy-N, N-dimethyltryptamine (5-MeO-DMT)🐸 from an ecopsychological perspective and proposes that this compound can create a transcendent experience of interconnectedness with the natural world. In particular, this examination looks at the potential that 5-MeO-DMT can facilitate beneficial shifts in human consciousness on both individual and collective levels through a deeper understanding of ecological identity and climate crisis. More specifically, I propose that 5-MeO-DMT can be a useful tool in motivating individuals to act on climate crisis by developing a stronger connection with their ecological identity. Currently examining the data related to the use of 5-MeO-DMT and the intersection of those experiences with transpersonal ecopsychology and post-colonial trauma.
