👦🏿👨🏿‍🦲I grew up creating art, but stopped creating at 18 years old. I was encouraged pick a “real major” and to work a “real job” and it shifted me from my purpose but my life was still lived out purposefully.

🖼🎨I was redirected towards my purpose in 2013 when my wife and daughter purchased art supplies for me for Father’s Day. While on the art scene in Montgomery Alabama I realized a lack of African-American representation on the art scene in the Birth Place of the Civil Rights Movement.

🏚🔜🏘 I started The King’s Canvas as a way to provide opportunity and access for underdeveloped and under exposed visual artists. I believe the arts are a catalyst for a physically, socially and economic change.
