My name is Searra, I'm a self taught artist from Chicago. I've been painting since 2015. It started off as just something I did to try and forget about the pain I had to deal with due to Lupus and other health problems that made it hard to do a lot of things in everyday life. My art gives me a way to express myself in a unique way that can link people from all different backgrounds. Art also gives me a sense of fulfillment and relaxation in the path that I believe is meant for me: bringing people together, whether they come from a world of art, faith, or any other backgrounds. With the many obstacles in my life I feel art is a true form of therapy better than any medicine available. And I hope it can help others.
