Bio

Classical Guitarist Andrew Leonard has been called a "guitar phenomenon” by the Portland, Phoenix and his playing has been referred to as "spirited and convincing" in Soundboard Magazine and "inspiring...effortless style" in Northeast Performer. He has a Master of Music degree from the School of Music at Yale University.

Andrew Leonard ran the guitar program at the University of Kentucky, taught at Wesleyan University and the National Guitar Workshop’s Classical Guitar Summit. Andrew is the creator of several online guitar courses and The Classical Guitar Conservatory at TrueFire.com. Andrew has also received Suzuki and Childbloom training to teach young children guitar. He is a faculty member of the Northampton Community Music Center where he teaches Suzuki and Classical Guitar students. Andrew teaches private lessons to students worldwide online using Zoom.

Andrew also enjoys sharing his experiences especially his knowledge of the music business and the importance of body alignment when playing an instrument to prevent or recover from music related injury using the Egoscue Method. He has given lectures titled: "Creating A Career as a Performer" and "The Pain Free Guitarist" at the Guitar Foundation of America’s International Festival and for music programs at Arizona State University and Yale University.
