Hi! I’m Alex (she/her) and I work with foundations, nonprofits, government agencies, and social enterprises to create more equitable, inclusive, and resonant services and products for underinvested and historically marginalized communities. I do this through participatory, human centered, and behavioral research & design practices with GRID Impact, the social enterprise design consulting firm I founded in 2014.

Current projects include:
* Developing & delivering a capacity building & networking program for African executive coaches and facilitators.
* Designing a financial health chatbot for microfinance clients in Uganda.
* Developing a set of services and programs to support farmers adopt conservation farming behaviors and practices in the US.
* Redesigning a needs assessment process for farmers participating in fair trade across Latin America and Southeast Asia.
* Leading an Innovation Challenge to generate new approaches to women’s economic empowerment & financial inclusion through digital financial services (mobile money).
