Singer, Songwriter and Host South London born and bred, Adelaide Mackenzie, born to Jamaican parents grew up to Reggae & Soul music.

She joined The Brit School of performing arts also attended by music successes such as Adele, Leona Lewis, Amy Winehouse, Floetry and Jesse J as well as many others too.

Her singing career was re-ignited after finding her faith in God and went on to join the worship team at her local church Ruach Ministries.

By 2005 she launched her first album “Daily Process” at the Jazz Café in Camden, London.
She packed out the venue and continued her success with various gigs and award nominations including best single in

2004 at The GEM (Gospel Entertainment Music) Awards.

in 2006 for best female gospel singer at The Oasis Music Awards.

In 2007 the BWA ( Black Women In Arts) presented Adelaide Mackenzie their Nina Simone “Inspirational Artist of the year'' award at their annual jazz awards at The Vortex Jazz bar, Dalston, East London.

*BLESSED SOULS UK* is born

Later that year the award winning inspirational lady set up her now well renowned branded open-mic event Blessed Souls UK in October 2007 at The Jamm in Brixton. Set up to showcase the musical talent in London, it has successfully toured various bars and venues/restaurants all over London.
It has had the honour of presenting some very special guests who graced the stage including -

Michelle John, Omar, Don-E, Kele Le Roc, Jaz Ellington AND MOBO Award winners Rachel Kerr, Fuse ODG, Lurine Cato and Isaiah Raymond Dyer.

Many artists who started out on the Blessed Souls UK stage have gone on to appear on BBC and ITVs “The Voice” such as -
Ruth Brown, Lara Lee, Jaz Ellington, Michelle John and J Marie Cooper.

This proved that Blessed Souls UK truly does showcase talented artists from the UK that are often missed out, go unheard and then later go on to do amazing work in the industry.
