Arda Cabaoğlu, Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.), is an artist, scholar, performer, educator, professor of music, resides in New York City and Istanbul.
Award-winning performer, performed world premieres by composers such as Theo Chandler, Jonathan Dawe, Maxwell Dulaney, Turgut Erçetin, Cenk Ergün, Dave Headlam, Evan Henry, Ibrahim Maalouf, Paul Moravec, Leif Segerstam, Daniel Pesca, Nathan Prillaman, David Riebe, Phil Taylor, Jeff Tyzik, and many more.
Cabaoğlu’s own latest solo works contain musical performance improvisation and multidisciplinary approaches, which employ both contemporary and historical sources. In 2020, Marina Abramović Institute curated his work in Istanbul, where he performed his own long durational work for 4.5 weeks and 8 hours a day. The longest musical performance in the world by a solo instrumentalist in a single project.
