Mac Claire, ABL President & CEO

The ABL was founded in 2021 by Mac Claire. The Bronx, New York Native is with his forth league, after founding the United Basketball League (UBL) 2006, and the Mens Professional Basketball League (MPBL) in 2018. After two years, Claire closed the MPBL in 2019 to become Commissioner of the National Basketball League - United States (NBL-US).

Claire brings to the ABL lots of experience from his time with the other leagues. The lessons he learned along the way have prepared him for this ABL journey. What is the greatest lesson from these past years in basketball? He said, "Best thing for me to do is be true to myself and not worry about outside noise," he said. i won't always make the sexy, popular decisions but as long as I can look at myself in the mirror and say I acted in the best interest of the league, the teams, and the players, I will live with not only the results but also the criticism that comes my way.
