I went to college at MICA for graphic design, and found it was NOT my calling.

After years of drawing the same doodle face, my mom encouraged me to sculpt it in clay, so I did.

The first one hundred and fifty faces were terribly contourted and slightly disturbing.

I now call that series my trauma faces.

In the past six years, piece by piece, the faces are smiling. My art has blossomed into a passion larger than I know what to do with.

Through ceramics and my sketchbook I am healing every day, and I want to share what I have made, and how to heal through art.
