Hi, my name is Stan.

I’m the initiator of foundation 4Watoto, located in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

4Watoto’s mission:
Guarantee children rights to the kids whose rights have been violated the most.

Chronology of my life:
19 April 2000, I was born.
2000-2018 A lot of fun
(still having fun though 😉)
June 2018 I finished my VWO at Insula College. After I traveled the world by backpack.

In March 2020, Aline (Manager of 4Watoto in Congo) and I started building our project: the 4WatotoHouse.

After 3,5 months of building we opened our doors in June.

Today, 22 children have access to healthcare, food, education and a house they can call home.

Organization:
The children are guided by our team of 14 Congolese professionals, which include a manager, care-takers, teachers, pedagogue, cooks and security.
In the Netherlands 4Watoto has three departments: Marketing, Education and Media. Together more than 60 volunteers!

Together with Marisa Alberda and Aline Kwitunga, we’re supervising 4Watoto’s new project Education4All. In which we connect students, teachers and specialists from Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Netherlands, to create high-level education-methods that are relevant for DR Congo.

With an education team of 33 volunteers, we are writing high-school books for year 1 up to 6.

This is a lead-up for our future project VillageOfDreams.
