Bio

DeAnna Brown is the Founder and CEO of the nonprofit organization, Forward Progress Arts & Entertainment Center, Inc. She is the creator and Executive Producer of “The Digital Showdown”, an on-line variety talent show, Host & Executive Producer of “The FwdProgress Show” a television talk and variety show and “Dream2Screen”, a complete filmmakers workshop.

As an actress/producer in the film “Breaking Brokenness”, DeAnna has won over 18 awards, including 2 Best Actress awards and 1 Best of Fest Acting Award. She has also produced 7 short films, as well as being the writer/director/producer of the stage play “Grandmas”.
DeAnna has written a spin off stage play, “The Rays”. which she will also star in as the zany Granny Ray

DeAnna has worked with talented people for over 35 years; encouraging them to pursue their God given talents-gifts, believe in their dreams, and prosper in their purpose. She has also served as the Youth Coordinator for the Juneteenth Art & Film Festival, an Inaugural founder of the San Antonio Black International Film Festival and Miss Juneteenth pageant judge.

DeAnna is currently collaborating on several upcoming projects, including her 1st documentary “What Box do I Check Now?” Starring Verda Byrd from 70 years of Blackness. “The Odd Life of Shay Little”, a sitcom by Dat Mayne DeeWayne, “Guilt”, a short film by Cedric Thomas Smith and you can always catch her in “Arrows In Motion Class”, a virtual network of information and encouragement for writers.
