Mitigation Specialist/ Criminal Defense
Program Consultant/Trainer.
My Why: Because a solid & effective investigation or defense necessitates an understanding of who your client is; the community they belong to, and how they got there. It should not matter what zip code you are in; justice requires access to knowledge and understanding of the client’s circumstances- for the prosecution and defense.
Regarding me as a person: I am a Social Worker by education, training; but also because that’s how and who I am, & always have been.
I am not defined by my past, nor my gender, class, race or circumstances I have experienced in my life. So don’t try to put me in a box and slap your label on me.
Like the rest of humanity, I live in a world filled with complexity and context- so judge if that makes you feel better but understand I won’t feel the need to conform to your expectations as your judgement about me reflects your thought and beliefs & not me.
