Here’s a thought, let’s create our own country but not in the real world. We can do this concept in the virtual world using clubhouse and other social networking environment. Let’s build organization around the issues, topics and needs across the social spectrum. We are calling this the word Black Social Congress. When this thought was born, this Clubhouse world was never imagined and the possibilities of social media to connect in such a way that it could be impactful. It is my opinion that we have never used Internet technologies in a strategic way to help solve the most baseline issues in our community. Join our sister group Technology for the Culture to be a part of the tech conversation.

The Black Social Congress is looking to have diverse representation of all matters that impacts Black People in a single vertical in order to move our specific needs ahead in the United States of America. I invite you to be a part of this historic moment where we build an organization with Black people in a social networking environment from all walks of life, all socio-economic backgrounds, all lifestyles and of all political positions and opinions. This is an democratic organization in which we elect leaders using the same base structure of our government and decide on committees that are specific to our needs. There will be a Democratic process to all decisions and ways for everyone to have a voice via voting. My guess is this organization will have an impact on the 2024 election.

We will not agree on many things. As Black people we are not just diverse in skin tones but in our thoughts and beliefs. We do not push individual agendas, but we give a voice to your passions while enforcing the idea that every voice matters. We will decide together on how to move forward on initiatives that we support and do not support and sometimes those decisions may be split. Where you stand on an issue will not always be represented by the BSG decision. This will not be a monolithic group or an echo chamber. The focus of this group will be around Economic advancement of Black people and all things that impacts our disenfranchisement including topics such as education, mass incarceration, etc...
