Description

Established in 1901 as one of the original American League franchises, the St. Louis Browns moved to Baltimore in 1954 to become the Orioles. In just over 10 years the franchise won its first World Series in 1966, a surprising upset over the powerhouse Dodgers. From the mid 60s until the early 80s the Orioles appeared in 6 World Series, winning 3, and were without question one of the best MLB franchises, producing a number of HOF players. In 1992, Orioles Park at Camden Yards opened to great acclaim, launching an era of modern ballparks that greatly enhanced the fan experience, while retaining a retro feel. Currently, a wave of exciting young players have the O’s back on the upswing, and looking ahead to a bright future! Come join us to talk about all things Orioles baseball!
