🌿 The Filipina Bruja is moderated by Kurt, a mixed-raced Filipina who grew up under the many mixed beliefs + traditions of her maternal side of the family. She found her passion in magick as a child back in the Philippines from her late grandmother's grandmother, "Lola" (Grandma) Praxedes who lived long enough to see her as a baby and made her multiple "agimat" (talismans) against "usog", "kulam", "barang" (badvibes, hexes, evil eye, etc.) Kurt has taken her family's traditional herbal magick as heirloom and has been practicing ever since ; alongside other religious ways such as Japanese Zen, Tibetan and Christianity. She has also applied the same rituals after being diagnosed w/Triple-Negative Breast Cancer type during COVID19.
