Message from @Will.GGC creator of Ghetto Granny Club NFT | Hello @everyone ! I wanted to take the time to explain why I created the **Ghetto Granny Club** and the inspiration behind my NFT collection.

The past year was pretty rough because my mother passed away last September and I decided to take a break and get my mind together. After about a year, I started to learn more about NFTs, the history, and I made the decision that I would to create a collection.

I dove into learning Solidity (ETH Blockchain language), bought my first NFTs, missed on a few (didn't understand gas so I lost money 😩 lol), and I started brainstorming ideas. I wanted to make something that would be funny, memorable, and that people would be proud to show off in their collections. Also, a lot of these projects are copies - everybody wants to do apes, cats, dogs, animals, etc. I wanted to do something people could relate to and give back to the people that I care about and support me. Not just "Save the Whales" or "Endangered species" etc... What about our youth and the underprivileged kids, you know?

I was thinking about my mom (RIP love her to death, but she was ghetto as hell ) and I thought I'd like to make something that she would enjoy and want to show off to her friends. On top of that, we all know/have a granny that is outrageous and 1 of a kind. I put a ton of hours into designing, developing, and launching this project. **This is a dedication to my family, friends, and loved ones and I am so proud that you all get to share this experience with me. **

Never in a million years would I have imagined I would be a software developer. This is a skill I've learned over the past 5 years after not knowing which direction in life I wanted to go. That is why my roadmap is focused on giving back to underprivileged and minority children. I want show young kids from my community and where I come from that coding is cool and anybody can do it. For the adults out there, this goes for you too. It's never too late and you can create anything as long as you put the time and effort in.

I wanted to make something that would have a lasting impression on everybody. **This is a part of my legacy and everyone here is a part of it. **

I'm not a character. I'm not some hidden figure that's hiding my identity. I'm just somebody trying to make a difference in my community, make my mother proud, and make some dope art that people love and cherish!
