Vellore History & Nature Society - VHNS is an initiative by a group of History & Nature loving members from various geographical areas & in particular from the Undivided Vellore District (Current Vellore Zone). The members are volunteers who have great passion & love for Nature Conservation,Biodiversity,Organic farming,Permaculture,Neutralizing Nature-Man Conflicts,Afforestation,Community awareness,Nature Talks,Nature Walks,Seeds collection & territorial expansion,Supporting Government initiatives,Birding, Species Censuses,Regional Cataloging,Blind faith & Unscientific belief eradication,Nature Events, Heritage walk,NatureWalks, Nature Fairs & Exhibitions,Awards & Book releases,Identification of species & its variants,Herbs awareness,Nature awarness to Kids,Aids to Nature warriors, Joint programs with Forest department etc.
Who can be the Members of VHNS: Members can be from anywhere, should be a Nature loving member & interest in the ecosystem of Undivided Vellore District (Current Vellore Zone- Vellore,Thiruvanamalai,Thirupattur & Ranipet districts)
Believes in Nature & Unbiased : Should be able contribute to the History, ecology of vellore zone (species, water bodies, mountains, historic sites & historical significance sites) with no intention of self credit, cast & religions.
