They tell us black women to be strong. They tell us to fix our faces and let’s not forget "attitudes". They’ve tried to put us in skin wars, light vs. dark skinned. They’ve tried to limit the heights we reach but we’ve soared past it all. The most detrimental thing they’ve done was attempt to hide the key to sisterhood knowing damn well we created it!

Bad Ass Black Girl was established in 2017 to create a safe space for the millennial black woman. We needed a space to be bold, creative, and unapologetically our selves. We inspire and break those barriers that have been set to ultimately see us fail. Bad Ass Black Girl was started by four black women of different backgrounds but bound together by blood. This is a sisterhood for those of us who can’t and won’t be defined.

Black women are to be celebrated and that is the mission of Bad Ass Black Girl.
