This is the place where Minnesota Twins fans gather! We chat about all things Twins-related: games, players, roster construction, strategies, transactions, minor leagues, scouting, development, prospects, team history and especially the path to gain their next World Series championship! A brief history: Established as one of the founding franchises of the American League in 1901, the club began play as the original Washington Senators, winning AL Pennants in 1924, 1925 & 1933, and the World Series in 1924. After 60 seasons in Washington D.C., the franchise relocated to Minnesota beginning with the 1961 season. The name Twins was chosen to honor Minneapolis and St. Paul, known as the Twin Cities (which is also the reason for the interlocking TC on their caps). As the Twins, they won AL Pennants in 1965, 1987 & 1991, and the World Series in 1987 and 1991. Twins fans have been fortunate to witness many great players wear the uniform, including Hall of Famers Harmon Killebrew, Jim Kaat, Tony Oliva, Rod Carew, Bert Blyleven, Dave Winfield, Paul Molitor, Jack Morris and Kirby Puckett. The Twins play their home games in downtown Minneapolis in picturesque Target Field. No longer satisfied with making the playoffs 10 times since 2002, the Twins aim to advance deep into the playoffs and claim another World Championship!
