Welcome to Exploring Autism, a platform created to educate and bring awareness on Autism within the black community through shared experiences.
Autism has become more prevalent in the black community in the U.K. yet there is lack of awareness and acceptance making integration into the society challenging.
Our aim is to use our various experiences, knowledge and expertise to advocate for children with autism and their families. We want to inspire and celebrate other parents going through similar experiences.
We will be discussing topics such as diagnoses, schools, funding, benefits, local authorities, support etc. Would you please kindly fellow the founder @maameadjowa who is the first member. Thank you
