This club indeed deals with“VIsual Sociology” in the sense that the production of photographic images is nowadays ones of the centralmeans of producing knowledge about social subjects in today’s increasingly hypermodern societies.

This club focuses on this relatively new and evolving sub-specialty of sociology that relies on or uses visual data to make social analysis. Here, we consider photographs as visual texts that also act as social texts.

Though our conversations will be intellectual and often even academic, they’re meant to be fun.
Put on your best intellectual hat. : This club is like that one fun class you had back in college in which u you wish you’d paid closer attention. Try to put on your Sunday best when talking. We ain’t a class, but we ain’t a gossip room.
Be socially gracious and nice. : This is like a cocktail party, in which people wear suits, dresses, and hats. If you get belligerent or start making people feel weird, you’ll be asked to leave. This is the host’s discretion.
Let’s talk about “visuality.”: While of course, clubhouse conversations to wander, let’s try to stay somewhere in the general area of the topic of visually and glittering images.
