Short description of the club

Church for people who hate church is a casual gathering of people who try (and occasionally fail ) to live by the teachings of Jesus and not what people have tried to turn it into. No matter where you’re from or what you’ve done God loves you and really wants to heal your pain, give your life meaning, and restore your soul so you can live free of the things holding you back.

Our club rules:

🔷 Come to the group with an expectation of learning something new and helpful.

🔷 This room is for the express purpose of helping members better understand the God of the Bible, unpack a variety of scripture, encourage, love, and discuss the teachings of and who Jesus is.

🔷 Like Jesus, we strive to speak with both grace and truth understanding this is an open group where not everyone may necessarily espouse the same worldview as you.

🔷 Keep your sharing at the “I” level – make it personal (what YOU think/feel), not preachy (what you think OTHERS should think/feel). Please keep the focus on YOUR OWN experience and if you are going to quote the Bible, please be specific.

🔷 Stick to the topic, and please avoid controversial /triggering comments.

🔷 Trolling is strictly prohibited and will result in you getting kicked out of the room indefinitely.

🔷 Refrain from commenting on, correcting, advising, or offering solutions to the person who is sharing unless you have ASKED PERMISSION TO COMMENTand they have said yes.

🔷 Limit the number of times you share (perhaps 2x), and how long you share for (perhaps 2-3 minutes). If it’s difficult for you to gauge how long you are talking, please consider timing yourself.

🔷 Hold what you hear in confidence. “Who you see here, what you hear here, when you leave here, let it stay here.”

🔷 Specific to on-line meetings:

🔹 Please don’t make video or audio recordings of our meetings.

🔹 Please mute your microphone when you’re not sharing.

Please note moderators reserve the right to mute, send to the audience, or remove any participant who they feel is disruptive or hostile toward other members.
