Mafia is a social deduction game of arguments and eliminations

Godfather assigns roles to all the players after they ping ‘hi’ on Instagram. There are 2 teams:
i) Mafia
ii) Villagers

The objective of the game is not only to win individually using convincing arguments to stay in the game but also collectively drive the agenda of their team

Mafia forms insta group and discusses the strategies while citizens don’t know who’s who. So mafia knows other mafia members and obviously the other villagers but wouldn’t know their special roles

Note: when recruit mode is on, please ask godfather for those rules too

No player is allowed to chat privately in the absence of Godfather during the game

There are also secret special roles like Cop, Healer, Terrorist, Witch and Bartender in the game

Cops: get to ask godfather who is mafia once per round and gets yes or no response. Knowing these answers Cops drive the agenda of the Villagers accordingly and help them eliminate mafia

Constable: promoted as cop once a cop dies. Previous investigations of dead cop may be carry forwarded as per godfather. Otherwise just a normal villager

Doctors: get to heal anybody (including oneself) by giving the player's name to Godfather in the chat while the kill happens during the night to potentially avoid the kill

Terrorist: get to kill themselves anytime and takes any one extra player along while exiting. Works secretly for mafia and argues simply to create confusion in the game. Neither Terrorist knows who Mafia members are nor Mafia knows who Terrorist is

Witch: gets to revive a dead person ONCE at any point of the game and brings them back to the game. Usually supports the villagers

Bartender: gets to ‘drug’ anybody in the game. If a Cop gets ‘drugged’, Godfather gives an opposite answer to that Cop during investigation. Supports villagers

Godfather creates an imaginary place with all these role plays and operates day and night cycles. Godfather also creates chatrooms with mafia and all other special roles too

Day activities: Arguments and eliminations happen during the daytime

Night activities: while everybody’s supposed to ‘sleep’ during this time
Things that happen in the background secretly are:
1. Mafia discuss and kill somebody in the night
2. In another group, Healers or Doctors discuss and decide who to heal. If the names match with 1, there wouldn’t be any kill
3. Cops or detectives investigate who is mafia
4. Bartenders drug a player of their choice
