Welcome to the Sustainability Marketing Club!

This isn’t just a club for sustainable, responsible, and ethical marketers. It’s a space for ANYONE who is interested in joining engaging and inclusive discussions on the role of “good” marketing and communications.

I created this club because I’m a passionate advocate for the vital role that marketing can play in tackling the world’s biggest challenges.

As sustainability marketers working with purpose-driven businesses, we have an incredible opportunity - and responsibility - to revolutionise marketing from being a practice synonymous with obfuscation and deceit, to one of authenticity, ethics, traceability and transparency.

Without great marketers and storytellers, we could never hope for sustainable initiatives to be adopted at scale. Examples? The Sustainable Development Goals need marketers to help bring them to life. Scientists and engineers need marketers to help them better communicate their hugely important work.

We must be the leaders of a new age of sustainable marketing, which is socially and environmentally responsible; which guides businesses to define a broad mission that speaks to society rather than just the product or service; and which has not only the customer’s but society’s long-term interests at heart.

I have no specific plans or regular rooms scheduled for this club just yet. My priority is still the ‘Sustainability’ club (the original one by Sara Essa). I’ll update this description whenever anything changes. Any rooms in this club will (as the name implies!) be specifically about sustainability marketing and communications related topics.
