Description

Bhoomithra sena Gecw is a non-political, self-sponsored and voluntary student organization of GECW, wayanad for the collection and circulation of the facts and knowledge about nature and natural resources, to develop students as nature-lovers and conservationists, and to propagate the spirit of nature conservancy among the public.
Bhoomitra sena is an autonomous organisation of nature lovers from various departments of the college. The club has been active on the campus since last two decades and is affiliated to the government authority . Under the leadership of the teacher co-ordinator, the club members assemble and elect an Executive Body including President, Vice-President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer and ten council members for organising various programmes on the campus.

Bhoomithrasena club has been formed in our institution. The objectives of this club are

i) To ensure the college students appreciate environment and environmental issues of the locality.

ii) To provide environmental education opportunities for college students and involve them in addressing environmental issues of the locality.

iii) To utilize the enormous manpower available with college students as conduits for awareness of the society.

iv) To make students practice and advocate sustainable lifestyles.
